for all horses and ponies.
Active Ingredient
|
Why We Use It
|
Biotin
|
Biotin has been shown by extensive trial work to aid the hardening
of hoof horn and so prevent cracking. It is an essential requirement for
keratin production in the hoof, laminae and the coronary band and is
critical to maintain overall hoof integrity and condition.
|
Collagen Matrix
|
Collagen is the most abundant protein in animals and forms the main
protein of connective tissue. It has great tensile strength and is the
main component of ligaments and tendons.
|
Concentrated Yeast Derived Oligosaccharides
|
Oligosaccharides provide a feed source for beneficial bacteria and
support the natural expulsion of antagonists found in feed and the
environment.
|
Copper, Manganese & Vitamin C
|
All three are essential to maintaining the growth of tendons and
ligaments, the formation of cartilage and the elasticity of connective
tissue. It is very important for the working horse to maintain its
freedom of movement and suppleness when in motion.
A complex structure like the hoof of the equine and the pressures it
endures will include substantial supportive networks of tissues, as a
basis for hoof integrity.
|
Hemp Oil Derived
Omega 3 Fatty Acids
|
Hemp oil is probably the best source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids found in
the plant world. This unique combination enables the horse to produce
other essential Omega 3 fats called EPA & DHA, both of which are
normally only found in fish oils, but are crucial for the health,
fertility, condition and performance of the animal.
|
MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)
|
MSM is a natural organic source of sulphur that is an essential
constituent of amino acids and protein. Most sulphur is found in high
protein organs and tissues, like hair and hooves and it is indicative
that, to form these high protein tissues, a supply of organic sulphur is
necessary to maintain this metabolic function.
|
Zinc
|
Horses with poor horn quality have been seen to respond when extra
zinc has been added to their diet. It helps to maintain keratin, which
is the fibrous protein that gives the wall of the hoof its hardness. The
amount of keratin found in hooves can vary and this determines how tough
the wall of the hoof is.
|
Contains the
Oatinol®
Delivery System
For all of the above
elements to be utilised, they have to be
absorbed from the horses’ digestive tract.
Oatinol supplies natural antioxidants, polar
lipids, beta glucans and galactolipid
emulsifiers, required to maintain gut cell
integrity, maintain the lining of the gut,
support the immune system and aid the
absorption of active ingredients, vitamins and trace
elements.
Active Ingredient
|
Why We Use It
|
Oatinol - Galactolipid Natural Emulsifiers
|
Galactolipids are a combination of sugar and fat molecules that help
establish the perfect medium for enzyme activity in the gut to absorb feed components.
|
Oatinol - Natural
Tocotrienol Antioxidants
|
Tocotrienol antioxidants are found naturally in oat bran. This
tocotrienol form of vitamin E is 40 to 60 times more readily recycled in
membrane systems and supports tissue integrity.
|
Oatinol - Oat Derived
Beta Glucans
|
Beta glucans provide nourishment for beneficial fibre degrading
microbes and helps maintain a high level of natural immunity.
|
Oatinol - Polar Lipids
|
Polar lipids are found in high concentrations in cell membranes and
are essential for tissue integrity and the controlled passage of
materials into and out of cells.
